Hi there! My name is Danesha, and I’m the designer behind Cocoa Skein. Thank you so much for supporting my cozy little corner of the handmade world. 💕

I’ve been knitting since 3rd grade, when my mom’s hairstylist taught me the knit stitch. That tiny loop sparked a lifelong love, from simple scarves with Walmart yarn to the custom patterns and playful accessories I design today.

By day, I work full-time as a UX designer, a career I love for its creativity and problem-solving. By night (and weekends!), I pour that same creative energy into knitting. For me, knitting isn’t an escape from my work but a complement to it: one keeps my mind sharp, the other keeps my heart grounded.

Cocoa Skein is where I get to share that joy with you. Every pattern and scrunchie is designed to celebrate coziness, creativity, and slow fashion. I believe handmade pieces carry a kind of magic that reminds us to pause, savor the process, and wrap ourselves in something beautiful that took time and love to create.
